The Keelung Dinosauria AR Ecological Park is located in the Changtanli Environmental Restoration Park on the North Coast, an area that was once the Badouzi landfill. Through years of restoration efforts, this bay has regained its vitality, transforming into a lush and open green space. Spanning approximately 3.7 hectares, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Keelung Islet, the Haimen Sky Pass, Jiufen, and Mount Keelung, surrounded by magnificent natural scenery. With a commitment to preserving this landscape, the park integrates 5G technology, an international production team, and augmented reality (AR) technology to vividly recreate the organisms and environments from millions of years ago in a natural setting. This innovative “AR Reality Exploration” experience invites visitors to step back into the age of dinosaurs and immerse themselves in the prehistoric world and ancient ecosystems. The park features 10 prehistoric AR ecological exploration zones, inhabited by dinosaur ecosystems from the Cretaceous and Jurassic periods. These ancient creatures, spanning 130 million years, have come to life once again in Keelung!
During your visit, you might find yourself eye-to-eye with a T-Rex in the forest, encounter a family of Brachiosaurs feeding along the coast, witness a Triceratops territorial showdown, or spot traces of other ancient creatures.
Using your phone, tablet, or MR glasses to activate the AR exploration experience, you can immerse yourself in close-up observation and study of dinosaur behaviors, enjoying an unprecedented thrill of discovery!

Dress Code
The park has grassy areas; we suggest wearing long pants to prevent insect bites. For autumn and winter visits, the seaside can be windy, so please bring a jacket to stay warm.
Please be mindful of your safety and others while moving around during the AR experience. Children should be accompanied by an adult.
Download the “Keelung Dino AR” app, enable camera, microphone, and location permissions, and log into your account (*Note 1).
Purchase tickets at the service center, go to the Dinosauria event page, and scan the physical ticket QR code (*Note 2).
After successful verification, click the “Use Ticket with Validity Period” button to start your 8-hour experience.
Click the “Start” button and select the dinosaur you’d like to explore from the list.
While waiting for the loading screen, use the map to navigate to the selected dinosaur’s area.
Once you find the “Dinosaur AR Activation Stone,” scan the entire image on the stone to start the AR experience.
Congratulations on activating AR! Raise your phone to view the AR scene and turn up your phone’s volume.
Point your phone at specific dinosaurs to see the gallery icon appear; tap the icon to add the dinosaur to your personal gallery.

Elementary students without a student ID need a school-issued document proving enrollment in Keelung.
- Student Ticket: Available for purchase on-site only. Reservations can be made online in advance. Students must present a valid student ID or another document verifying their student status. Only valid student IDs from accredited domestic institutions, as recognized by the Ministry of Education, or an original enrollment certificate will be accepted.

The “Keelung Dino AR” app supports most iOS and Android mobile devices. Please refer to the following recommendations for device compatibility:

The Keelung Dino AR app is developed using Google AR Foundation. Due to the requirements of Google AR services, certain phones are restricted by Google Play from downloading or using the app, even after downloading. Common incompatible brands include OPPO, Samsung, and Xiaomi. We have found that even the latest flagship models from these brands may not support the app due to Google Play policies and non-compliance with Google AR specifications.
Currently, the “Keelung Dino AR” app supports Apple iPhone 11 and later models, and Android devices need to support Google ARCore. To confirm if your Android device is compatible, search for “Keelung Dino AR” in the Google Play Store. If it shows as available for download, your device is compatible with the AR experience; if unavailable, this indicates that your device does not meet the app’s requirements. You may also rent a tablet at the park’s service center. We appreciate your understanding.
